Dublin Roasters Brewing Tips |

|
Always keep in mind the five fundamentals for the perfect cup.
- Use ONLY Dublin's freshly roasted beans!
- Use 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 6 ounces of water.
- Grind your beans depending on your method of brewing.
An Automatic Drip Coffee Maker - grind for 15 seconds. A French Press - grind for 10 seconds. Espresso machine - keep grinding, the finer the better.
- Use fresh cold water; filtered or bottled water is better.
- Never store coffee beans in the fridge or freezer! Store in the pantry or cupboard, in an air tight container, canning jar, or something close to that
Below are two concoctions to help clean mineral deposits from your coffee maker.
- Mix one part white vinegar to ten parts water. Run a pot of the mixture through your coffeemaker. Then, run at least two pots of clear water through your coffeemaker to fully rinse it.
- Or, you can soak the non-electric parts of your coffeemaker in warm water and baking soda, then rinse and wipe thoroughly before using.
Make sure to clean the electric parts of your coffee maker regularly and according to manufacturers' instructions. This will keep the heating element clean so it can properly heat the water to brew your coffee. If the water is not hot enough to brew (195-205 degrees F), the results are undrinkable.
